Wow, this story was just so riveting I couldn't stop reading it. The story centers around Tessa, her plastic surgeon husband Nick, and single mom Vanessa. Vanessa's son Charlie gets injured in a roasting marshmallow accident and has Nick as his plastic surgeon.

As these things go Nick ends up becoming close...a little to close with Vanessa. Vanessa being a single mother and lonely takes all the advances to heart and develops strong feelings for Nick. She knows he's married but can't stop her heart from falling in love. At the same time Nick has become distant with his wife Tessa. She is doing her best to be the best stay at home mom in a world where tennis and charity functions are all the mother's do. She realizes she is losing her husband but due to her parents divorce is kind of jaded to it. She finally hears the words she never wanted to hear from Nick's mouth and has to make the hardest decision of her life.

I found this story very interesting and the character development was excellent. To see how innocent things started between Vanessa and Nick to where it ended was engrossing. I would recommend this book to any reader but most especially that of a married woman. We're quick to say we'll walk right out that door but in the end walking out of that door hurts more than just you and your spouse. Great job Emily Griffin!
