“Halfling” stands out as an instant favorite, skillfully combining cozy, wholesome storytelling with tastefully written, good smut scenes. This book offers a unique blend of engaging narrative and well-developed characters, creating an enthralling and heartwarming experience.
The novel's strength lies in its balance. While it provides the comfort of a light-hearted fantasy, it also includes well-crafted, mature scenes that add depth and spice to the story. The characters are relatable and authentic, making their journey resonate with readers, while their interactions are both meaningful and charged with chemistry.
The world-building in “Halfling” is captivating. Rich in detail and beautifully constructed, it serves as the perfect setting for both the tender and the more intense moments of the book. This leaves me hoping for an expansion beyond the current duet format, as the universe seems ripe for further exploration.
Overall, “Halfling” is an excellent read for those who enjoy fantasy with heart and a dash of sensuality. It strikes a wonderful balance, making it a cozy yet stimulating escape.

I recently joined the So Many Books So Little Time Book Club on Instagram. I'm always down to read more romance and I always end up reading books I probably wouldn't have picked up on my own which was the case with this book.
This book took me longer than normal to finish it. The pacing was so slow and I felt like at least 100 pages should have been cut from the book. If it was shorter I feel like I could have loved it. I did enjoy it though. The characters and the romance is what hooked me and kept me reading. There were just things that were drug out way to much and because of this there was some repetitiveness which became annoying.
Like I said the romance was on point which is why I kept reading. I loved how they went from strangers to friends to lovers. Orek is half human half Orc. I loved how he was with Sorcha. They were so cute together. I do wish they would have communicated with each other a little more but overall a great story.
This was a cute fated mates monster romance. I adored the MMC, he was a sweetheart (although him constantly calling the FMC mate made me want to hurl.) The raccoon sidekick was precious. I found the book to be a bit long, and there were SO many spicy scenes that were far too similar, especially with the repeated verbiage (if I ever read the word quim again, I might pull my hair out. Also, it's just a strange word to use to describe the female genitalia), I wish there had been less tbh. Despite some of the hiccups, I still really enjoyed the world-building and am interested to read the next book in the series.
