The book presents an account of the controversy between two great biologists, J.B.S. Haldane and Ernst Mayr, regarding the significance of the mathematical contributions of the three pioneers, J.B.S. Haldane, R.A. Fisher and S. Wright, to the theory of evolution. The author is a former pupil of J.B.S. Haldane.
