I like her adept universe beter. Part one was very repetetive in phrasing things. Part two read more engagingly. It is very explicit in the sex scènes and very LGBTQ and polyamory friendly. Main character is awry, lost her brother and is now unexpectedly the heir to the crown. To fill that position she needs to deal with the loss, accept her own powers and built a trustworthy powerbase.
