It was a good ending to the series as a whole, and kept my attention throughout despite it being the third book. I've grown so attached to the characters at this point, I already miss them and their stories.
Este libro es la verdadera montaña rusa de emociones. Me hizo sufrir TODO EL TIEMPO. Es que eran 10 capítulos de que vaya todo mal, una o dos páginas donde parecía que iba a mejorar la cosa, y de nuevo se iba todo a la mierda. O sea, primero la posesión de Lou, después Reid olvidando todo, ANSEL 😭😭 y mil cositas más dios no puedo con tanto.
Aun así, creo que es mi libro favorito de los tres. Y el más triste. Definitivamente es muy triste. Pero es un cierre PERFECTO para esta trilogía que tanto amo.
La narración, como siempre, me mantuvo atrapada todo el tiempo. Cada cosa está escrita con un dejo de misterio que te hace pensar que en realidad no te están revelando todo, que siempre hay algo más por descubrir. La pluma de Shelby es cautivadora.
Reid me parece un tremendo pelotudo CÓMO SE TE OCURRE HACER SEMEJANTE PELOTUDEZ DE SACRIFICARTE OLVIDANDO AL AMOR DE TU VIDA ???????????? NO VES QUE LA PASO MAL???? juro que lloré DESCONSOLADA cada vez que Reid y Lou interactuaban y él la trataba mal. AH PERO CUANDO EMPEZÓ A RECORDAR???? DIOS, ESO ME DESTRUYÓ. Yo era una cascada prácticamente.

Coco y Beau son mis protegidos, mis niños, los adoro. La evolución de Coco entre el libro anterior y este es tan divina q 😭😭😭💘💘💘
Y Lou, mi amada Lou, no tengo palabras para ella. La amo como a nadie y el epílogo me hizo sentir tan feliz por ella, que finalmente encontró lo que siempre quiso 💞💗💘💞💞💗💝💝💝💌
Bueno, creo que ya está. Podría hablar HORAS sobre este libro pero no me alcanza el espacio acá. Lean esta trilogía, por favor. Por favor. Es hermosa.
Well that was anticlimactic and sadly unfulfilling. I absolutely loved Serpent & Dove (5⭐s). Blood & Honey was ok (3.5 rounded to 4), but felt like a filler and was too long, for me anyway. Enter Gods & Monsters and disappointment outweighs the love of the series as a whole.
I am happy for the closure but honestly, this series could have been a Duology and it would have been met with better approval, again for me anyway. I know other readers loved all 3 books, but the last 2 seemed to drag on and didn't seem wholly necessary for the main part of the story.
Gods & Monsters can't be considered a filler since it's the last book, but man did it read that way and I found myself skimming through parts as they rehashed the situations endlessly. The water portion (for those who read, you should know) did not need to be that long and drawn out.
I enjoy this author's writing so will definitely read them again. This one just didn't click for me.
How did this story turned down like this? the first book was fun, nothing mind-blowing but managed to capture my interest till the end. But this? this was incredibly boring.
What an amazing ending to this beautiful series! I had high hopes for this book and it did not disappoint. The writing was so beautiful, the characters had an amazing development and the plot kept me alert and I just couldn't put it down.
