Fourth Wing

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I'm not a romance fan, so that part of this book didn't appeal to me. However, I love dragons and magical school settings, so I loved those aspects. I also thought the characters were great. Some I loved, some I hated, but I was invested in all of them.

My most favorite book of 2023, and it'll probably remain as one of my most favorites for a long time, if not forever.

Devoted!!! READ IA ONE SITTING I NEED MORE

This is a very good book but i an also thoroughly confused about everything thats going on:

Why is it accepted to kill random cadets throughout the year? Why do the dragons attack the gryphons if theyre not the real enemy? Don't the dragons know this? What was the first revolution where Xaden and his buddies got those marks for? Why do the dragons even care for their riders? Where is the bonding? Suddenly they love Violet and Violet loves them and even though her and her dragons have more bonding than anyone else its still kinda unbelievable that the dragons in general would go through fire for a random human within a short timespan. As a matter of fact, WHEN did Violet suddenly become friends with Ridoc and Sawyer? It was never shown but suddenly they were friends.

Very underdeveloped story. It's bizarre.

WOW! Simply WOW!
I don't usually read fantasy but this book...words cannot describe how much I loved it.
Compulsive writing, page turning action, vibrant characters...and the sizzle between Violet and Xaden is fabulous.
Highly recommend and can't wait for the next instalment.

1.5 for the dragons

For someone who doesn't read fantasy at all, I was hooked the entire time and cannot wait for the 2nd book. I think I might pre-order it too lmao. My favourite part were the dragons and the dynamic they had with both each other and their riders. Love Tairn. Love Andarna. Love Liam. Cried too. And that says something

The writing is 2.5 at best, but my enjoyment makes it more like 5 stars. Wow, did I have fun with this, despite all its flaws. Give me more, please!

wow she's just so small and dainty and short and sooooo small

Wanted to see what the hype was about and ended up finding a book I fell in love with. Enjoyed this more than ACOTAR. There was good action all the way through, Yarros was great at world building but keeping it interesting. Love a last page twist as well

I really don't dislike books this much usually but this was not enjoyable at all. So. many. tropes.

This was good but a little violent. The characters are well fleshed out for the most part. I found myself enjoying the book while I listened to it and wanted to continue for as long as I could. I especially enjoyed the ending which is why I will probably read the next book.

Mira, kakak Violet yang juga penunggang naga berpesan pada Violet untuk mendekati Dain Aetos, teman masa kecil Violet yang ternyata pemimpin Squad, Seksi Api, di Wing pimpinan Xaden.
Akhirnya, aku mengikuti yang sedang hype
