Forgotten Sacrifice: The Arctic Convoys of World War II

Interesting account of a vital part of WW2 that I hadn't known anything about.
My father was in the merchant marine during WW2 but in the Pacific.
these are impressive stories of courage and disaster but after awhile it was exhausting reading about another ship sinking with half the crew dead and the other have mostly died of hypothermia before being rescued.
So I recommend it but you might want to skim parts of it.
