Err I feel really uncomfortable with that ending. Hopefully CL Stone will be able to turn things around. Though, I'm not seeing how that's possible right now...I only see things ending badly or...weirdly o.o Please keep it PG!
The writing and the execution of this installment was amazing. The author really knows how to craft characters and develop them beautifully. This book was about the trust that's missing from the relationship between Sang and her boys. This had been building up in the last couple books as Sang's world grew more and more chaotic. Since she had to fear having the boys around and didn't have to worry about sneaking around, there was a lot more room for character growth. However, that's not to say that there wasn't a lot of action and suspense in this book.
This series is turning out to be so much better than I expected. I would highly recommend this to someone that can appreciate reverse harems for the all the pros and cons that come with them. If you can appreciate the work put into exploring each character, and the circumstances that have brought them together and also challenge their bond, then you will love this series as much as I do.
SPOILERS AHEAD
The development with North's character towards the end of the book was brought about with the climax that really set this book apart from the others. There was an ascension towards the final fight that was very well done. And, of course, the Academy epilogue was surprising but ultimately rewarding as it gives the read an insight into what the rest of the series has to look forward to.
