I completely lost interest in this book about halfway through. I really liked the first two books, but once the introduction of the reapers, it just got too religiousy and I was so annoyed with that plot line. I had high hopes for this series and was happy until the third book. :/

Managing to write one series is itself a major task. Writing two good ones is great. Writing two good ones and connecting them is bloody brilliant. Jonathan manages that with aplomb. In doing so he raises this good book to great. I have been lucky to read the series in the right order so for anyone starting the Benny Imura saga I suggest you read the Joe ledger series first. Onwards now to the final chapter and see how it all ends!
