《“There are all these perfect people here. And... It's like, if you're not one of them, then you're messed up. But I think, inside, the flawless-looking people are just as messed up as we are.”》
Overall I think the first book was slightly better.
Sadly, there's really not much I can say about this one either (I already watched the first seasons of the TV series, so nothing surprised me that much), but I still enjoyed it finding out this one was a quick read, too!
Are you kidding me? I'm so mad at myself everytime this happens with Shepard's books. This is yet another book that ends in the middlr and, guess what? It was no where near as good as book #1. I could leave right now and be happy (which, if we are being honest, is mostly because I read book #0.5 which I'm fairly certain gave everything away..)
AAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!
I'm torn between knowing who A is and not. If we find out that would mean that the series would be over, right? And we know it's not because there's 14 books in the series (I think). But not knowing is driving me CRAZY!!
And every time I think I have a handle on who I like and who I don't the tables get turned and something else about one of the girls reveals itself.
I will say that one of the things that kind of bugs me is the drama queen-ness of some of the parents. I'm sure that there's parents out there like these, but all in one place in one group of friends? And it kind of bugs me that the girls aren't friends anymore, but with secrets as big as they have I guess that's kind of expected. Now though it seems maybe they've come together and are seeing each other as their allies. Though with 12 books left who knows what will happen!
THIS ONE DIDN'T HAVE A REAL ENDING EITHER, AND THEN I FOUND OUT THAT THERE ARE 14 BOOKS IN THIS SERIES SO I GAVE UP AND READ WIKIPEDIA SUMMARIES FOR THE OTHER 12. AHHH, NOW I HAVE CLOSURE. AND I NEVER HAVE TO READ ABOUT THESE GIRLS AGAIN. HA.
Very good continuation of the first book. Who is «A»???? l'm excited to find out.
