I had a good time reading this comic, the art was absolutely beautiful, and I loved the alternate takes on pretty much every single character. The only complaint I had is, I wish it was a bit longer. I can't help but feel a lot of the emotional moments lose some of their impact because we just don't spend enough time with the characters. More scenes with Barry and his Mom, Shazam and the kids, and especially the final battle sequence which felt like it ended a bit too quickly.

Despite the excellent state of the art, the story is a mess! truly, the writer does a good job of generating confusion in the reader just as much confusion there's in Barry Allen.
I am nost surprised that this jumble was used as basis for the Flash movie! Things happen randomly during the story, and everything happen because Barry wanted to save his mother from death -as if such event could not only create a divergent timeline but also mess up EVERYTHING!! I mean, WHO is Barry Allen's mother? The Spectre? The Monitor? Why Wonder Woman and Aquaman must wage an Earth-destroying war if Barry's mom survives?!?
Very different than I expected. Almost unrelated to the movie Flash and the CW Flash versions of this story
So. Let me be completely honest. I started this book, and thought it was boring and then stopped reading it. Then I was a little irritated that it posted it to my goodreads feed as a book I was currently reading.
then some time passed....
One Sunday morning I picked it up again and read it. I probably wouldn't have done this except for the fact that I enjoyed the TV series for flash and was curious at how things played out in the comic. I really feel that this one is best enjoyed for those who know who all these characters are.
However, I finished it and did actually enjoy it. I do some some of the characters and the twists they had in this alternate reality was definitely interesting. Overall it ended up being a pretty fun read.
It's incredibly clear to me why this is considered a classic. Absolutely amazing story and fascinating take of characters
