This was the March pick for the Stephen King readalong for the month. I almost didn't get it read on time but I am so glad that I did because I have found another King book that I liked.

I feel like I have said this in most of my reviews lately but I don't know what to say about this book. I enjoyed it a lot. And I found myself caring for some of the characters. There was only a handful of likeable characters. I loved the bond between Charlie and her dad Andy.

I'm pretty sure I said this in my last King review but I am not finding his stories to be overly descriptive anymore. At least that's the case for the last couple of books I have read by him. I put so many books on my TBR this month that I didn't pick this up until 2 days before our discussion and I was able to read all of it in those two days no problem. That shows how much I was into it.

I only really have 2 complaints about this book. One being the racism and homophobia but I look at that as it being a product of its time but I am not excusing it at all. And the second one was the ending. It wasn't a bad ending I just wanted more. I don't really care for open endings. I want it all spelt out for me and I don't want to be left with any questions.

Overall I definitely recommend you read this if you haven't already.
