I'm not going to pretend this was anything other than what it is – shifter smut barely disguised as a romance. There's pretty decent world building in the background of this, and I hope that eventually the author would go further into detail but overall this was just fun. Not a great work of literature, but who needs that during the Horrors that currently are? I recommend if you need a break from anything serious, because this wasn't.
I loved how Kael was down bad for Claudia pretty much immediately. I love a man who is LOUD about loving his woman, thanks.
Honestly, probably closer to a 3.5. I'm hoping the books get better as the world gets larger and continues. I was really into this one though and felt Claudia's desire to protect Amy and Sasha etc. This book got dark quick as paranormal romances do. I'm interested in this multiple worlds concept and the jumbled thoughts of the dragons that are not in their own world anymore. I don't particularly like the plotline of what is going on with the female dragons and this is the second dragon series I read where female dragons get the short end of the stick.

Yep, this was great!
Kael is a dragon dreamboat and Claudia finally has someone to take care of her the way she's always taken care of others. I'm excited to explore more of this dystopian world and see more of these amazing golden dragons find mates. I'm hoping the dragon females will get a chance to find love too. Loving pretty much everything Ruby Dixon writes at this point!
This series is great. The writing is interesting and I can't help but get sucked in. Started this book and the next thing I knew I was 4 books deep!
