Far From Home

As the daughter of the blacksmith in a tiny Irish village in the 1920's, sixteen-year-old Kitty Doyle knows little of the ways of the world. But she has to grow up fast when the arrival of a stepmother means she is forced to leave her family home and take up a position as a maid at Harwood Hall.
