I really enjoyed Fangirl, but I have to admit it's my least favorite of Rainbow Rowell's 3 books (although that's like saying Snickers are my least favorite chocolate bar - still completely love them!). I'm not sure why it didn't punch me in the gut in the same way as Eleanor & Park, or make me fall in love with a challenging character as I did with the hero in Attachments. Maybe it's because from my advanced age, I didn't have as much patience with Cath's insecurities and hang-ups. It felt like Rowell waited just a bit too long to have her wake up and take some control of her life. But frankly, I read the book in about 24 hours and am waiting until the last possible minute to take it back to the library, so it's obvious that it did make a strong impression on me. I wish Rowell would write faster - long time to wait until Landline next summer.
