In the 1940s and 1950's, the three Pullein-Thompson sisters cornered the "pony books for girls" market, writing several dozen with titles such as "Showjumping Secret" and "A Pony for Sale." This three-way autobiography tells how their unconventional childhood in between-the-wars rural England made them equally at home with a pen or in the saddle. It is surprisingly forthright and unsentimental.
