Extinction Horizon

It's the end of the world as we know it... Not really giving anything away there, this is dystopian fiction after all. But the book is well written, character driven, and very fast paced. Just don't expect things to wrap up in a single volume. It looks like this tale will run for numerous books... and I'm glad to see that. I'm jumping right into book #2!

This is probably one of the last zombie books I want to read in a while. I say one of the last because I will probably read the next iteration of this on. Nicholas spins a nice yarn and keeps it very simple. In all likely hood this is exactly how a doomsday plague will be created. But what follows afterword is quite a stretch just in terms of timescale. Still an interesting take along the same lines as Arisen series but much less hardball. Recommended reading for zombie fans
