Everyone Here Is Lying

3.5 stars rounded up to 4 just because it's Shari Lapena, I'm biased. Good writing, plot, etc. the mystery was revealed a bit earlier than I would have liked, it made sense in the context, but at a point there was no more mystery and just ‘I guess I'll keep reading to see how this ends'. Was a good book overall but not my favourite by Shari Lapena.

I enjoyed this book well enough until the reveal the 9 years old child with ADHD and impulse control problems was also somehow a psychopathic mastermind with incredible acting skills and she acted in concert with an evil nurse desperate for her dad's attention, I find that kind of trope super tedious and I would have probably liked it better if more of it had been left implied rather than outright told.

It was really boring.

You can always depend on Shari Lapena for a quick, twisty, page turner and this was no different.

Gripping, tense and compulsively readable as always!

I loved the plot and character development in this book; there was equal development between the two. I liked the twisty-turny angle that the author took amongst the mystery; it was like whiplash - in a good way. As much as I loved the book (I was certain I'd rate it at least 4 stars), I was disappointed with the cliffhanger ending! That bumped it to a 3.5 for me.

Fast read, great story but unclear ending.

I really enjoyed this book! The multiple POVs and the short chapters were perfect. It's a fast-paced read that will definitely keep you on your toes and second-guess everything. The only thing that I didn't like was the way it ended. I wished there was more to it to see what happened after the interview.

this is SHARI LAPENAS BEST BOOK BY FAR. i am obsessed with this books, the plot twists were shocking and amazing and this is one of the best suburban thrillers i have read. The ENDING had my jaw on the FLOOR i was staring at the wall for 5 minutes I was flabbergasted and I couldn't have imagined a better ending it was absolutely amazing and definitely a favorite!

Good book. Lots of twists and turns and guessing what ready happened which is the mark of a good thriller. The author does a good job of making you have emotions for the different characters. It's not always easy to write in a way that brings them out. As much as I liked the book, I am glad it's over because I was starting to feel things I shouldn't haha. I'd recommend for those who likes being a detective reader.

This was good. It kept me wanting to read but the twist wasn't crazy, it will probably be a forgetful read in about a year for me.

A great mystery with very believable characters. It would've been a five star for me if only there was some epilogue or just a couple more pages to really wrap up what happened.

Beginning was good (except for similar reading characters) but then it felt repetitive. The reveal was too early and very anticlimactic. I hated how Avery was written. She felt like an old woman, not a 9 year old girl. It almost felt like the setup of an Orphan-like twist. The kidnapper's motive was dumb and she was such a random character, so there was no payoff.

This book had me hooked right from the first page and I couldn't put it down. The author weaves the kind of suspense that will keep your heart rate elevated and you won't want to stop reading until you get to the end.

I loved the ending. I had not figured out a lick of it. I was blaming everyone before I knew the truth! This book had me tapping my kindle so hard to get to the next page. I love books I can't figure out.

Every single person felt unreliable and I couldn't relate to anyone but it didn't matter. The plot was excellent and I loved how it all unfolded.

There is true genius in this book and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good suspenseful thriller.
