"Progressive Christianity is a recent religious movement which seeks to engage with the traditions of the past while updating them to ensure their relevance and utility for a post-modern audience. It is proposed that theology is progressive in that it is an ongoing discipline that repeatedly gives rise to new ways of looking at old questions. Some of the oldest questions, which have religion and culture have repeatedly wrestled with involve wealth, generosity, and leaving a legacy; and the ways of dealing with these topics are in dire need of a face-lift. This book examines various facets of these topics within the context and methods of Progressive Christianity and provides some unique ways of looking at the issues. Topics include the relationship between personal finance and social justice, the moral status of wealth, biblicism, evolutionary wisdom, investing, minimalism as the modern face of contentment, legacy and the afterlife, and the legacy journey as a metaphor for Maslow's hierarchy of needs"--
