Espresso Shot

The racism, classism, sexism, and negative stereotypes of just about every type of person is getting unbearable, its so bad, these are bad, they are annoying and bad and I genuinely think I am reading them to torture myself. I hate these books, the pacing is off, the mystery is dull, the romance is bland, the characters are like cardboard, this woman says “dear old bookie dad” too many times, the coffee talk is just these insanely long info dumps, everytime I read I think its the worst thing Ive ever read and I cant believe that someone would write these and publish them and then I think that its impossible for these to get any worse and now Ive read SEVEN SEVEN?????????

Had a hard time with this one. I don't care about Matt or his storyline and the inside look at the police precinct made me just dislike Mike.

Nevertheless, these books are just all so so readable and the mysteries are fast paced

Took this to the hospital to read while I waited for surgery but I ended up getting drawn in & must finish ;)

A new to me series by Cleo Coyle. It reminds me of Caroline Fardig's series in the best possible ways. The main character, Clare, is great. She is resourceful, brave, and committed. She knows who she is and sticks up for that. However, she isn't so set in her ways that she isn't willing to learn something. There were so many great twists and turns in this book that I was surprised by who it was. I knew who it wasn't, but the actual culprit was a surprise to me. I will be reading more of this series. Great book. Exciting series.
