Duplicity Dogged the Dachshund

While most of the book was an enjoyable, if light, read, it ultimately suffered from one of my pet peeves. I don't care how many people are killed in any book, but if an animal is deliberately tortured or killed in the story, the book goes in the trash. I realize this is probably a mental illness, but it's my mental illness. I'm refuse to read something that bothers me.

Another delightful installment of Clement's pet-sitter series. I like Dixie Hemingway even more—despite her ridiculous name—and the plot of this book was seriously gritty. At times it had light-hearted topics and funny, silly anecdotes, but the real meat of this book will cause people to shudder, cry, and worry. I can't wait to read the third book!
