Dreams of Hell

I'm enjoying this series, but it is somewhat... shallow? It doesn't dive into the grey. It gets soooo close, even brings it up and then immediately dismisses it. People's thoughts on things change? or act like they never thought differently – which miiiight be a contingency issue, really – and they just continue being self-righteous even when they seen they could be wrong. It is... frustrating.

I also was expecting something completely different because of a TikTok vid. I was expecting more rejection? More “running into the arms of her lover”? Buuuuutttt nah.

So, for what this series is – popcorn, sweet, action, lovely slow burn romance – I'm enjoying the hell out of it. The writing is working for me. I literally sat in the parking lot after work just reading because I didn't want to wait until I got home to finish the scene I was currently on. Y'all 30 minutes passed by, the scene had finished, and I still had to force myself to drive home.
It is fun. It is addicting. Max is awesome. I'm dying for her and Declan to get together. Eli and her are going to be combustible, with Wade its gonna be sooooo goooooood, and Darius like damn– I might be anticipating them second most. Atlas is still my least fave, but he's got potential.
