Another book that isn't what it implied, to me at least. Plot was different than expected and more straightforward than was hoping for. Better written than the average in the sense of not just easy to read/follow, but some nicer composition than others. Flow was strong.
DNF'd at 60%. Every single page with this main character is suffering, I hated him. It's fine to hate the main character; I hate Walter White, after all. But there's nothing interesting going on, either. It's just the main character thinking gross or annoying or shitty things and freaking out about all the women he's had sex with potentially hating him.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ – Intriguing stars!
So this was a fun psychological thriller (NOT horror in any way). The writing was spot on. It was a relatively quick read. The plot was intriguing and kept me hooked throughout. The characters themselves (of which there are very few) were interesting, especially Gerry. He was a douche, but a hilarious douche!
