"Don't Beat Your Children Or They'll Turn Out Like Me," is a book of Haiku's and short poems that has captured Harlem living completely and not once did the author loose street creditability. The author (BLUE) has taken the ugliness of the ghetto and brought humor and beauty to the everyday experiences on the streets. There is a new movement that needs to be acknowledged and his poetry is a big part of that.
