I received this book from the author for the purpose of this review. All comments and opinions are entirely my own.
Swept away by charming characters, thrown in amongst enemies, and bound to your seat as the plot unfolds. Thus sets the stage for Diamond Bonds as it captures and refuses to let go of your attention.
Fast paced action with thrilling details meets the humor and complicated personalities of unforgettable characters. The story is set in a fantasy world with fantasy powers which are easily described so as to not overwhelm the reader with trying to understand; the information is given subtly but clearly and by the first half of the book the reader will consider him/herself a local!
There is absolutely no profanity or cussing and no sexuality at all (except for a couple of kisses), keeping the book a clean and entertaining read. Though the main characters are in their later teen years, I see no reason to keep this book for that age group alone; 13 and up would enjoy it without a doubt.
I know that many of the readers may be cautious because of the “powers” present, so I am going to inform those reading this review that the powers do not have a “dark” and “light” side. The powers are a normalcy and though some of the battles may be intense, there is not those conflicting good powers versus bad powers, there are just different degrees of knowledge of how to use their abilities.
So overall, I give Diamond Bonds a full 5 out of 5 stars for my audience and highly recommend it to teens both young and old :)
