Stephen King delivered. Unique story, great setting and the ending was good for once. Watered down christianity was a theme throughout the book that worked well with the story. The pace was good and I was engaged throughout the whole book.
This is my favourite SK book to date!
Final rating: 4.5

This was the #KeeperofKing readalong book for February and it ended up just being an ok book for me. Honestly at this point I can't even remember my thoughts on it because it has been a while since I read it and because for me it just wasn't memorable. I was invested in it enough to finish it because I wanted to know what was actually going on but I didn't care about any of the characters really.
Average nourishment. Not an earth-shattering tale by any means, but reasonably average and mildly entertaining. It's no Stand, that's for sure. I like Stephen King novels for dog walks on the headphones and I'm trying to catch up on my Goodreads challenge, so I needed something that would be easy listening to draw me away from my podcast list for long enough to get through a book. It helps that grass-cutting season is once again upon us.
OMG this was my first Stephen King book and WOW that was good. It kept me on my toes and I didn't want to put it down but me with my busy life because of school, cri. It was so good and just the right amount of deaths and story progression. WOW. Just, amazing.
This is Stephen King at his best. An enticing horror flick about this peculiar town called Desperation. Mind blowing narration and amazing storyline. Brilliant characters combined with a sinister plot. This is the first Stephen King book that I read and boy it's hit the bull's eye! A must read for horror fiction fans. King seems like H.P Lovecraft's prodigal protege! Absolute masterpiece!
