I confess that the only reason I go back to this series is because of Warner, maybe a little bit of Kenji, but mostly Warner.
I cannot believe how much I liked this installment, it's like every time I go back I get a feeling that I would end up hating it, but not this time. I admire how when it started with Shatter Me, I would enjoy parts of this book and that there is one POV that I look forward to, fast forward to Defy Me, my feeling went 360. The dystopian world was so thought of that every plot hole is justified. All those events back in the first book are slowly coming into new enlightenment that every character is insightful with one revelation to the other. It's all connected and well planned.
There is no doubt this series gives me new light into liking it, mad props to Tahereh who not only fought to get these books out because she has more to tell than 2 kids in love. The created world of The Reestablishment is altogether a gem that could easily be considered as a tiny idea to an enormously imagined new world.
If you would read my past reviews, you would understand how much I hate Juliette's character, but now that we have reached this point of the story, I applaud Tahereh for making me feel that way. I love her when she's mad and angry about everything, and hated her in all her suicidal thoughts, I good character development is one of the things I am giving this a good review compared to the others... and a little bit because of Warner. I am excited about the next book coming out next year.
