Such a cute little romance
This was okay, I don't know why I expect more from a 116p book. There was a lot crammed into a little bit of real estate. I wanted more from it, it felt rushed, there was no plot or character developed. I hope that reading the rest of the series will shed some light on this story. For what it was I did enjoy Melody and Jamie's story.
A prequel to the Sinners of Saint series, this is a quick novella about a forbidden romance between 18 year old student and 26 year old teacher.
Worth reading to get a bit of back story before heading into the series.
Had potential for more, but it was a novella so the point is that it's quick/short
Defy is the novella and originally the one that caught my attention. It isn't often I see books with a student/teacher romance where the teacher is a woman. Is it totally wrong? Yeah, but my interest was piqued.
I ended up really liking this couple, but didn't think Jaime was a total asshole... he seems like the leader, more level-headed than his friends at the time, since they are 18. I didn't really understand Melody and Jaime's relationship though or why they liked each other as much as they did. Yet, I totally loved reading this book. More than anything this book had me dying to read Vicious, because I had no idea how he was going to be redeemed.
Oh, and they are called the “Hotholes” (Hot+assholes) which I think is the silliest thing ever.
