Deception

Jewel was an interesting and engaging character, but I got annoyed that she kept being independent to the point of being stubborn and risking her life. She didn't seem to “get” the idea that she should step back and let other people do their jobs in order to keep herself safer instead of going off by herself and continuing to poke around alone and in risky places. Otherwise I really enjoyed Jewel and loved the Alaska setting. It was neat to have a 40+ romance, too!
