[3.9] give me a crew of quirky, eccentric characters and i'm in! the bumbling bees at the Dead Letter Office eyes Julianahem i meant “Mail Redirection Centre”—serial killer vibes Paul, goth google-extraordinaire Cherry, endearingly innocent and starry-eyed Theo, badass lesbian lumberjack Denise, even deceased cat lady Glenda—each grew on me as they helped our mcs Malachi and Julian on their quest to find the rightful owner of a pile of moving letters from almost 50 years ago.

at the very start Malachi's character had me treading carefully yet very soon i was singing a completely different tune. while his relatively OTT running stream of consciousness grew on me, it's definitely one of those things that will either grate your nerves or tickle your fancy. in any case, as he's always projectile word vomiting his feelings for the world to hear, you can let go of any fear of lack of communication because his mouth is almost always in motion
