Dead

A super quick read (too me under an hour) Dead(ish) is the story of Linda, a newly dead woman in search of her body. Unfortunately, the summary is the best thing about this story.

The novel is broken up into bite sized chapters, each about two paragraphs in length and as each is from a different point of view it felt like the story jumped around a lot. As a result we never really learn enough about any of the characters or their motivations to actually care what happens to them.

The dialogue was terrible, the plot almost non existent and the entire novel was confusing enough that one is left with only an overall impression of what actually happened to Linda.

Dead(ish) could have been a cute and quirky novel about Linda's afterlife, but instead seems more like a badly written fanfic that barely raised a half hearted smile.
