Dark Blows the Wind

When Anne Taverne finds a wounded Cavalier in the orchard, she conceals him in the house. Later that eve ning, the house is searched by a stern-faced Roundhead colon el who is so bewitched by Anne that he fails to discover his hidden enemy.
