When the sea suddenly disappears one autumn day in the Stone Age, Eir runs out onto the dry seabed to collect shells and crabs. But suddenly, the water rises at a terrifying speed, and Eir is caught by a monster wave that sweeps her away.

The story of Eir is based on the Storegga tsunami, which struck the coast of Norway 8,200 years ago, and serves as a starting point to tell about life in the Stone Age.
