Criminal, Vol. 1: Coward

Expected a cool noir, got a depressing failed heist story. And wow, it was so good.

Since I read 100 Bullets, I was looking for something similar to it, and this series didn't disappoint me. It was the first thing I read for Brubaker/Phillips. They've got a lot of praise, and they absolutely deserve it.

Glad I gave this another try. One of the better written comics I've read, out of the set that don't have Alan Moore's name on them. Good character work, decent art.
