Cobble Hill

This book is so full of crazy characters, you can't help but fall in love with several of them. I love white people behaving badly as a trope, but this author makes is so entertaining with twists and secrets, I can't tell if it's satire or truth (of course I can tell, but it is so well done I wondered).

I read books to escape and this one was just quirky enough that it felt realistic but also a little fantastic at the same time. I really love the character development throughout the book, however the plot felt all over the place and I really didn't think the ending worked well. A lot was left hanging, but maybe that was purposeful. I guess I'm just one of those people that really likes nice, neat endings, which made this ending very unsatisfying.
