Maria was tired of not having a boyfriend. Her weight had been an issue since college, and she was sure that those extra pounds were the reason for being boyfriend-less. So, scrolling through her friend list on social media, she randomly clicked some hot guy and inserted the 'in a relationship' status. It was a half joke, but . . . oddly, she felt better about herself. She just hadn't expected that hot guy to come knocking at her job.
This is a meet cute, curvy girl, business man/gym rat meets awkward barista.

There was only one thing I disliked about this story and that was that it was too short. Such a cute and emotional story in only a few pages takes talent! Maria and Mark are such cute characters. Maria is a barista who is afraid to take a chance on love, after being hurt in relationships more than once. Mark is a successful bachelor who feels like something is missing in his life. When Maria's bff makes her scroll through her FB friends list to look for love, she decides on a whim to do something that ends up changing her life. I love how strong yet insecure Maria is, I love how Mark not once even thinks that her size is a factor in anything. It was refreshing to not go through the standard “but I'm so big and you are so hot” line that so many authors use. She's a woman, he's a man and when they are together, sparks fly. Great, quick read.
