3.5 stars. Lovely romance between an Anglican priest and a policeman in late 19th century Australia, but given the setting there's not much plot other than the two men gradually falling in love, exploring their sexuality, and dealing with the guilt and fear of being homosexuals in a place and time where it was illegal. Plot picks up briefly at the end, and then there's a strange epilogue that inexplicably jumps ahead to present day. If you like relationship-centered stories you will not be disappointed; I was just looking for a little bit more.
