Great read - this series has not disappointed me yet. I continue to love the character of Armand Gamache. This novel was set mostly in Quebec - which Penny makes very much a character in the book. ( after reading so much about Quebec - I would love to visit.

There is the solving of multiple mysteries in this book. Gamache is working on the mystery of a body being found the basement of an English library in Quebec. Jean-Guy is working in clearing Oliver from a murder that happened in the novel before this one. One of the things I especially love about this novel was the bond that develops between Jean-Guy and Ruth in this novel.

Very enjoyable read.
