god my love for this book. Lilith Vincent has officially became one of my auto buy authors. I always thought cheating would be an non negotiable for me but this book opened my eyes to what it could add to a book. We see the love of two outcast who some happen to be step daughter and step father. You see that there is no love lost between the Laz and Mia's mother, it is extremely transactional and has been from the beginning. This felt so taboo and wrong from the start, seeing them sneak around to the stomach turning guilt felt mostly by Mia was uncomfortable but a beautiful story to the end. I don't think anything will to brutal conquest for me but this was just perfect. Lilith knows how to write these men who are ridged and outwardly asses but they love their women and are not afraid to show it.

I am new to Lilith Vincent, having only read one or two of her books, but everytime I read one I go “wow! That was fantastic!”. This book was no exception.

I am normally not a fan of cheating in books but I think it works really well here. Laz was arranged to marry Giulia so he could settle down and have a child. Giulia came with an 18 year old daughter who is beautiful, smart, witty, and Laz couldn't get enough!

Mia is the black sheep of the family and just wants to get out. Her mother and uncles ignoring her makes her crazy, and overhearing a conversation about how she isn't wanted makes her furious. Laz makes it more difficult for her when he forces himself into her life, in more ways than one.

Laz has a plan that will help everyone get what they want - but it's risky. And he doesn't tell Mia, which could be his biggest downfall.
