Brave Enough: A Mini Instruction Manual for the Soul

I can't really rate this book so I gave it an average just because it does not translate to kindle editions well and is more of a collection of quotes you'd give as a gift or use as a coffee table.

Now, I will say, that Dear Sugar/Tiny Beautiful Things will always be one of my very favorite books to read when you need a good heart to heart. Buy that instead, it makes a great gift, too.

I like Cheryl Strayed's writing and advice, but I just do not connect with the quote collection format of book. Removed from their context, most of the quotes read as cheesy, judgmental or snooty.

This is a bitty book of quotes. Some of them had some impact on me, most did not. I think it may depend on where you are in life. I think the collection is worth reading if you are a fan of Strayed. My favorite is on page 57
