so, last year, i decided to read the entire hebrew bible, but due to certain events in my life, such as university (i'm done with my degree btw), i had to pause, on the the second chapter of isaiah. there were days where i thought i should continue, but i had lost all drive to read. until recently. currently reading melville's moby dick, which has a ton of references to scripture. chapter 9 in particular has a preacher character retell the story of jonah in such an interesting way, i had to check it out for myself.

i'm sorry, this doesn't really have anything to do with this book in particular, but i had to tell someone this. amd this might just be the push i needed to continue the book of isaiah
