Still hooked. Loving the tension between Mac and Barrons, loving the worldbuilding, loving the lore... definitely plowing through these.
Idk why but this series is so fun and easy to read. Also i'm a sucker for urban fantasy.
Book 7 complete for O.W.L.'s 2019 History of Magic- Published at least 10 years ago
Initial Thoughts: I forgot how much I love this series and these characters. There is action, romance, sexual tension, and humor all wrapped into these great pages. There are times I'm gasping in horror at what Mac is going through or laughing out loud at the banter between Mac and Barrons. I had no issue jumping back into this book, I even feel like Moning did a brief review at the beginning of the book of what had happened previously and I appreciated that! I definitely cannot wait to read the next book, but I also like that I can take my time and not rush through the series. I think I will pick up Faefever in a few months when I'm in the mood and I can fall in love with the characters again.
I'm officially hooked on this series!
I've been sneaking time out of my busy schedule for the last few days to read this book and I was on the edge of my seat reading and trying to guess what would happen next. This series is exactly what was looking for! On to the next one!

This book was definitely darker than the first, but still enjoyable. Mac and Barrons had crazy amounts of chemistry. There were some really interesting story developments!

I still liked this one more than the first, it is nice to see Mac leaving her sheltered life behind. Since the third book is where I stopped reading before, I'm hesitant to start it, but the world is enthralling and I want to know what will happen, so I will start it sooner rather than later.

Much much better than the first one in my opinion. Glad I decided to read it. Great world building and character development. This book went by a lot fast than I thought it was and I can't wait to read the next installment.
