I rarely talk about language in my reviews, but when I do it always seems to be regarding crime noirs. Maybe they have a language all of their own that immediately entices the reader or I just got lucky with Colin Krainin's Blood and Mascara. I was immediately sucked in.
Blood and Mascara is a crime noir that will have you flipping the pages to see what happens next.
I received a free copy of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
It was a little dry. I loved the plot but it was so dry I struggled to stay completely engaged and the jumping back and forth got a little annoying.
I was really interested in the characters but the pacing was a tad off.
I loved the end though which more than made up for the dryiness
