A detailed and varied book, covering a range of topics. Written by an Italian author who spent 4 years in China with his wife and two children who really made an effort to assimilate into Chinese culture (but was ultimately unsuccessful), he even ‘Chinesed' his name to Deng Tiannuo.
Although dated now, this book remains a snapshot of China in the 80's.
