This is by far my favorite Avatar Comic (although I've only read the first three)! The story was simple, yet well-executed, and allowed for characters to grow and learn something about themselves. The storytelling was well-paced, with two plot points merging organically into one.

I think the strongest side of this part of the series is that it really feels like a continuation of the main story. Not only do the old characters develop further, new characters get time develop as well, giving the whole comic series a strong feeling of continuity. I also like that they addressed one important question that was left unanswered by the animated series.

There were some things that I didn't like so much, like Penga's behaviour towards Sokka, which, however innocent, is not very appropriate and should not be played for laughs. Some aspects of the main premise (which I don't want to discuss due to spoilers) are rather silly, too.

Overall, an enjoyable read which ended way too quickly. Oh, how I wish they had more pages per story! If you loved Avatar: the Last Airbender, then this comic is definitely a must read.
