This book was the perfect winter read, not only did it have the most amazing characters but it made me snuggle into my comfy blanket and remember why fictional men are so memorable. And to be honest, there is nothing as much fun to watch as a rich steamy banter holds emotions at bay waiting for that moment when their passion will ignite and explode on the page. This book has that toe curling steam filled romance between NFL star quarterback Jake Skyler and Girlfriend For Hire/ Escort Rakell. Both are trying to move forward from their pasts and public images when they trip across each other. It was a delight to watch both characters be who they always were and leave their images behind. The vulnerability and passion they share makes their Secret Romance and Hidden Identities such a compelling story of growth and acceptance that I literally read this book in two sittings. And, even through their story ends with a cliffhanger in their developing relationship, I was thrilled to see that this is a finished series!
