Definitely gotta love Amelia Bedelia and her way with words and literalism. Now to be able to have her in early chapter books is just fabulous. What could be better for early readers to really push their vocabulary in learning how things mean more than just one concept. It's tons of fun! Reading out loud or alone, it is sure to promote giggles and grins. It's educational for words, but it is also good in influencing children to earn something for themselves as well as making friends. I'm delighted with this first jump for Amelia Bedelia and I am sure that this is a great start to her novel anniversary! Thanks to HarperCollins for providing an ARC for review.
