Alice in the Prison of Hearts

It was no secret that I had once been enamored by Kaeden Hart…

But now, trapped in his kingdom, I cannot help but try to convince myself that the young king will enthrall me no longer, and any emotions I once had for him were merely an illusion, inspired by the man who I once thought him to be; because if he were even half the man I imagined he was, he wouldn’t have allowed this.

The Kaeden Hart I knew would never allow me to be imprisoned on his estate, left to wander aimlessly with no escape. Even if it was to protect me from the Crown Court.

More than that, he would hardly sit by as trial after trial took place at the once beautiful Hearts Estate, sentencing innocent people to death.

That just didn’t make sense from the Kaeden I once loved.

But then again, him insisting he cares for me doesn’t make sense either, nor does the Joker’s promotion to my guard, or the Crown Court’s insistence on watching me at every turn. But with a simple lie, I plan to set forth the motions to discover not only all of their secrets, but those of the long gone King of Cards.
