a pretty unsatisfactory ending to an otherwise good run of comics. The whole “lets just put them in jail and pass over 25 years until someone else fixed all the problems” was a really lame way to resolve it all. The only character arcs were resolved in the vol 1, and then volume 2 and 3 were just pretty much the second act of an action movie.
Overall, I really liked this one. But whilst I don't really care for romances in my dotage, I am quite the sucker for AI romances, even when they're sad or dark (‘Her,' and ‘Ex Machina,' respectively) or goofyish (‘Chobits,' wahhh!!!). So I confess that I might have gotten rather a bit misty with this one.
It's a fast read, it has an interesting universe, it showcases how sometimes younger people aren't afraid of impending robot humanity, and–though the art is a bit clunky at times–its layout is great, and its emotional effect work well.
