A Vow So Bold and Deadly

I enjoyed the book and the whole vibe of being a Beauty and the Beast retelling was just fabulous.

honestly so much could've been avoided if they just TALKED TO EACH OTHER. Im never a huge fan of a book if simple communication could fix all the problems. I like all the characters individually and the small moments of banter between the boys got me to keep reading. This overall was a fine trilogy, I probably wouldnt go out of my way to recommend though.

This trilogy should have been a duology, or better yet an incredible standalone

This trilogy overall became a disappintment. I really loved the first book and enjoyed the second. This one however was a mess. It seemed to take forever to get to the climax but then was so anticlimatic and I didn't even care what happened. I think there was not enough loose ends to the story after the first book to require needed 2 more. I get Brigid wanted to showcase Rhen and Harper and then Grey and Lia Mara but it just didn't need 3 books to do so.

I immediately pre-ordered this one as soon as it was available and then put off reading it. I always get leery with the last book in a series. Will it finish off well? Will there be unfinished business or will it wrap up nicely? It causes mild reader anxiety

Every time the word brother was used I CRIED. I LOVED ALL OF THEM, But Grey and Rhen have a special place in my heart! They were so stubborn, specially Rhen, but even after all that happened between them, they both yielded in some way. And when Grey took Rhen's hand at the end of chapter 41, I CRIED SO HARD.I think Harper and Lia Mara became the reason why they both yielded also, their soft side, but also their REASON TO FIGHT. THEIR REASON TO YIELD.

This book picks up shortly after the last book left off. Spoilers for previous books ahead. Grey and Lia Mara are working on getting the people to side with them and have faith in their version of ruling. Rhen and Harper are not only trying to fix their relationship, but also trying to prepare for a war that Grey has promised is coming to Emberfall. The plot follows how they reconcile their relationships with each other versus the countries' relationships that they rule.

I think this was a successful ending to a series. This wasn't my favorite series ever, but it was definitely entertaining. While I really disliked the second book, this third book made me realize why it was necessary. I don't take back my rating of that book, because I really didn't enjoy it, but I have a broader understanding of it now. I really love the character exploration in this book. The plot was secondary for me. I thought that the characters were all flawed, complex individuals with differing personalities. Kemmerer did a great job fulling delving into these characters and presenting the reader with hard scenarios and tough decisions.

The ending of the book felt fulfilling. It was kind of predictable, but I honestly didn't mind. The resolution all of the characters got felt good to me, and I left the series happy. I recommend this book to anyone wanting something entertaining, but not too deep. It's fun, suspenseful, and cute at times.

Mixed feelings about one part of the story, but loved it overall. Second book is still my favorite of the series. The first half of this book was my fav, but second half went off the rails, then too many things happened so I'm giving this 4 only.

So, this series holds a very special place in my heart and it might be the only Young Adult series that I inhale in three days tops. I was such a big fan of this series that I actually called four of my local Barnes and Nobel to see if their shipment had come in so that I could go pick it up on the 26th so that I can review the whole book instead of just the excerpt provided by NetGalley. Sadly, I was not able to get my hands on a physical copy but now own an ebook audiobook and a physical book. I also went ahead and bought books one and two in paperback so I could have the series considering I will for sure read this series again. I love all the characters. Harper, Rhen, Grey, and Lia Mara are all back in an installment that will leave you breathless. If you read A Heart so Fierce and Broken then you know Grey is the rightful heir to Emberfall. The book is told from 4 points of view of the four major players in the second book. What I loved is how all four of these characters are beautifully flawed yet motivated by duty, honor, and the fear of the unknown to do the right thing. The chapters that intertwine with Harper and Rhen are devastating not only is Rhen dealing with the betrayal of his brother but the wicked sorcerous Lilith reappears in this book and as wicked as she is I really would have been said if there wasn't a Lilith appearance. I will say that this is the only book in this series that is getting a 4-star rating. Why you might ask? Well, let me explain. While all the loose ends are tied up and we got a semi- satisfying ending I felt like there was more story to be told. Is there a book four that is the only question I have left? Now I will be happily waiting for Defy the Night that comes out in September of this year.

This book was definitely a page-turner for me!

Following the story of Harper, Rhen, Grey and Lia Mara, the third and final book in the Cursebreakers series is a great ending for such a beautiful story! I didn't know what to expect when I dived into this book, but it wasn't such a heart-warming story, full of powerful and emotional scenes.

I loved the fact that, unlike in book 2, we got to hear more of Rhen and Harper's thoughts. There were a lot of chapters from their point of view, as well as Grey's and Lia Mara's. We get to know them better: their fears, their weaknesses, their strengths and their personalities.

After the events of the second book, Rhen has turned into a villain, Harper is trying to make him see the good part of things. Grey has fled Emberfall and has allied with the enemy, the new queen of Syhl Shallow: Lia Mara. What will become of these countries and their rulers? Who will win the war that is coming upon them? Read this book and find out. You won't regret it!

I got a sampler of this book and it is interesting and wish to read the full book. The Sampler had four chapters with the perspectives of four characters Grey, Rhen, Harper, Lia Mara. Wish to know who wins the war or whether there is the war of soldiers or with their magic. How Lia Mara thinks to be a good queen and the child who visited and what happens next is not known as this is a sample.

There are two kingdoms Emberfall and Syhl Shallow. Rhen is the prince of Emberfall and Lia Mara is the queen of Syhl Shallow. She killed her mother as she was brutal and arrogant to their subjects she wishes to be the good strong queen who thinks of the welfare of the subjects and she doesn't want to hurt the people in her kingdom and she thinks what the people think of her as she is not so brutal like her mother. Grey is the true heir of Emberfall who escaped from there and is on the side of Syhl Shallow. Will Grey become the king of Emberfall. Syhl Shallow is always ruled by a queen and they think they don't need a man by their side but doesn't know what will be the decision of Lia Mara on this as if he Capture Emberfall and be a man on the side of Lia Mara.in ruling Syhl Shallow and Emberfall together.
